My name is Cherryleigh (pronounced sherrylee), I am female and I have no idea who came up with my name when I was born, so I need help. What does it mean? I can't find it in the list of names beginning with C

Well, it's obviously a compound. Leigh is the easy bit - meadow, stretch of grassland. Cherry could be the fruit, making you a meadow in which cherry trees grow, or it could be the French cherie = dear, beloved. Take your pick! (I'd prefer the fruit, but that's just me ...)
