It was a blessing. He was sufferring the last couple of years he was around. The final two straws were that one of his legs had to be amputated (an infection complicated by diabetes) and a couple of major strokes.
I am sorrier to hear about the bullshit (pardon the language here, Mike) that's going on in your neck of the woods. Please send me simple e-mails once a week to let me know yuo're surviving, 'k? Just a two or three word code that you can make up if you want. I'm a stereotypical Jew in that I'm a worrier.
