Where does Kayleigh come from??

Im very confused. Im about to become a mother and I really like the name Kayleigh. But i didnt know how difficult it was to find out where it really came fom, and the meaning!! dOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW?? The name is Kayleigh. Anyone? I want to name my dughter this but would like info, about the name before i do.

Alternatively...Kayleigh could simply be a combination of Kay (itself either a form of Caius or a form of Katherine) and Leigh.Miranda

EXCUSE ME IRISexcuse me, I already looked there, I was reading ON the message board of people discussing the name Kayleigh.Whuch all had different answers on where it came from and the meaning. So be polit6e before assuming I dint look there already. THANK YOU !
