Ever watch that old 80's cartoon Jem and the Holograms? Well Jem's real name was Jerrica Benton (Jem was her alter-ego who she could change into with the help of a computer names Synergy I think) But anyways after reading your posting this si the forst thing I thought of-teeheeheeeeeeeeeee! :)

You, too (remember the cartoon Jem)? I think I was doing my first stint in college when it first came out (or I was just about to finish high school).
Yeah, they made Jem dolls and all that drek back then. I don't think they (the show and the paraphernalia) lasted more than 4 seasons, but I wasn't that interested in them (Dr. Who, on the other hand...)

I have always thought that it was a feminine derivative of the name Jericho. I almost used it and spelled it Jericha.
It could also be a variation of Erika .
