Wondering about Arminius
No Arminius is listed, but I see that Armin is strong (Germanic). Maybe Arminius is of similar origin? It's Hungarian, I believe. Thanks!

I would say Arminius is simply a Latinized rendering of the Germanic name Armin or Hermann. I'm sure the Romans had no occasion to use or think about the name until the German chieftain Hermann (Arminius) kicked their heinies at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest in AD 9.
