meaning?
My husbands grandfather was named Veldon. He was born in the 1930's in the mountains of Virginia and was the youngest child. We don't know how many brothers and sisters he had but we think about 7. We have looked for the menaing of his name because we want to use it in our first born sons name. so far all we have been bale to uncover is that the name Eldon, and other names that end with eldon mean hill, ridge, mountain, etc. AND the name Don (short for Donald) means world leader or proud ruler. So far these two things seem to describe Veldon, but we want to know if the letter(s) V or Vel may mean anything significant. Thanks!

Katie, I think your interesting and explicit question got buried ....
in the latest clutter of middle name voting. I can't answer it, but I'm sure some of the knowledgable types here can. Try posting it again, if you don't get a response soon.

Oops, forget that suggestion.... I just noticed Merriment already responded to your previous post.
