HI i am in an applied language studies class and i need info on the origin of my name (Nia) I know that it means "purpose" in Swahili and thats the bulk of info that I have been getting. But I need more! I have heard that Nia is Irish meaning: chief, I have also heard Nia is Greek too! also -nia in enlgish is used at the end of some names...Does anyone have any info/books/articles, legit information about my name? it would be greatly appreciated! post here or email at cryingclown84@aol.com thanks!
