It's meaning is different!

When I was little I was told that the meaning of my name, Lia, is light and that when it is spelled Leah then its meaning is tired, weary. I'm pretty sure of this but if anyone has any info, please let me know :)

Maybe, if it is a short form of names ending with -lia:

Helia ("sun")
Aurelia (often understood as "gold")

Your parents were wrong.

My dad was wrong, too. He was positive that Carys meant grace in Greek, and that Elizabeth meant Woman of God's House. Sorry...Parents do those things.
