mmm if my memory serves right Prince's wife spells her name "Mayte". According to http://tiempolibre.ciudadfutura.com/genealogia/nombres. Mayte is just a different spelling of "Maite" which means incarnation (encarnacion in spanish). Maite is an abb. of Maria Teresa..

My name is "maite" (pronounced may-yet-tay)and I find it somewhat coolly ironic that in spanish 'maite' means "incarnation", when I was named for the egyptian goddess "Mayet/Ma'at". When she sat in judgment of Men's souls after death, her name was "Ma'ati" (pronounced may-yet-tay); in the Coptic language, ma'ati means "double truth", as in divine or severe truth.
I wonder if there is a connection; I wonder if "maite" came to mean "incarnation" because those named "Maite" would incarnate the attributes of the goddess. She was the goddess of truth, justice and universal order.
