Meaning of the first name, Zai
I'm looking for the meaning of the name Zai, which I beleive is of Persian or Arabic origin. If anyone knows the meaning or can tell me where and how to search for it, I'd be grateful.

Albanion Turkish - Origin - Zai, which represents the inflected form of zoy 'son'
Iranian - comes from *zaiH ‘to perish; to destroy’ - to deprive
- an aspect *zai (1) ‘to set in motion, impel’ and zai (2) ‘to equip, adorn’; to clean, cleanse

zai means 'giving birth' 'baring' ; according to a Dari dictionary it also means 'last name' or it is a masculine pronoun
Couple of choices
There's an Indian female name Sai, which means 'flower'; there's an Indian name Zia (male & female) which means 'enlightened'.
There is also apparently a muslim name (from Persian), Zaibunissa (female) which Zai may be short for - it means 'woman of beauty'.
Does any of this sound right?
