I once heard someone say that Kirsten is a male name in some places. However, this site says it's strictly feminine. Does anyone know more about this?

Hi Kelly,

In Germany, Kirsten is a Low German form of Christian (male) and Christina/Christine (female). It is used mostly as a female name, though. Kersten is another form which is used both as a male and a female name, but this one is used mostly as a male name.
