Are there any others named Faraba out there. Also does anyone know the meaning behind the name? My heritage is German/English. Parents said name was made up but I find the name was around as early as 1807. Can anyone help??? Thanks

Sometimes parents make up names which, by chance, actually do happen to have existed at some time.
Census records show that the name was widely used for female children in the United States in the 19th century, and sometimes spelled "Feraba", "Pharaba", and "Pheraba". Records also indicate that all of these forms were corruptions of the earlier and more recognizable "Phoebe".
