Talaris/Talaria possible origin of Taleri?
Taleri is a name I've come across a few times, yet I can't find a definite origin or meaning anywhere. I would appreciate any help/suggestions anyone might have. Thanks.
Heres what I've found so far:
*Taleri is a city in Georgia (country, not state)
*Taleri is a Jat Clan name from India
*Talaria (ta·lar·i·a) pl.n. Winged sandals such as those worn by Hermes and Iris as represented in Greco-Roman painting and sculpture. [Latin talaria, from neuter pl. of talaris, of the ankles, from talus, ankle.] (courtesy of Dictionary.com) Taleri, Talaria and Talaris are all pronounced the same way, with the exception of the "s" and "a" at the ends.
*Breaking it into parts gives me less of an answer
Tal : derived from Hebrew tal meaning "dew".
-er : more, or related to, or concerning.
-i- : Used as a connective to join word elements: setiform
