I appologize, but I am trying to help my fiancee find history on her family name of Dusini.

Dusini most likely originates as D'Usini, meaning "from" or "of Usini", a wine-growing town in the northern part of Sardinia, the large island off the west coast of Italy. In addition to Dusini, the name has the variants D'Usini, Usini, and Dusine.
