Uh you're Dutch!! you should know that! it's just Schuiler...pr'ed Sguyler...so NO "k", they (english speaking people)just made it Skyler, because they can't pronounce our "hard G", they only have a soft one...:)
Uh, Indy, we *do* have a hard 'g'!
:-)
:-)
do you?
I doubt that you have the same "hard G" we have..because when we try to make foreign people pronounce "Scheveningen" (Cinderella you'd know this word! :)) they really can't..they can't pronounce SCH as we do..for example, Gabriel, Garage, Gareth, Gay, etc all have a soft G...Could you give me an example of a word that has a "hard G"? Not trying to offend/attack you Chrisell, but i'm curious what you consider a hard G...ours is a hard one, almost like you are gargling your throat...:)
