I have been trying to dig up the meaning of my sons middle name:- Feyd. I originally got it from the Dune books by Frank herbert which appear to have many arabic terms in them.
I have asked family members who are from Yemen if they have ever heard of the name and we got a very vague answer back about it meaning fire but nothing definate.
Has anyone come across a more definate meaning?
