Lucy is derived from the Greek word "lykos" meaning wolf as well as light ("lux" in Latin). Besides the wolvine implications, it is also related to Lucifer (Lyki-foros, bearer of light). In brief it is a brilliant dark name. P.S. Hope Im not cheesing you all out with my constant Greek references :P
