i have the same middle name as my mom, just like my dad has the same middle name his dad had. i think i have only meet one girl who also has thier moms middle name. is this more common than that or is it rare for a mother and daughter to have the same middle name?

I have my mother's middle name "Nohemy". It is very common in the Hispanic/Latin American countries to name your child after their mum or dad..

I don't know how common it is, but my wife and daughter have the same middle name: Ruth. Looking back, I'm not sure why, because neither of them really like the name. Ah well...
