Why am I not surprised that you're probably going to wind up being the main contributor to this project? :) *Extremely* cool start, P.L.! I'm most impressed! Off the top of my head, there's not much I have to add to the "A" List this morning, except:

I think I may choose one of the other 25 letters of the alphabet later today, and get started on that.
Since you'll most likely be contributing most of the anagram names, I'll take major responsibility for keeping the master list alphabetized and cross-referenced. We have GOT to persuade Mike C. to put the Anagram Name List on his site! :)

Being hampered by my non-native-english-speaking-status I cant vouch that all of my 'grams are bona fide names. Eg: can "Lardon" and "Lassie" be included? In addition to compiling the master file, G.N., your editing skills should help avert any such embarassments!

"Lardon" is a new one on me. Can't say I like it as a name, though, as it sounds too close to "lard-butt". As for "Lassie", who says we can't include pet names too, in this list? Lots of people give their children pet names, anyway -- like "Buffy" and "Bambi".
I guess we'll have to choose maybe one or two name dictionaries as our "authority" for the names on the list. We could take a vote on which dictionaries to use -- bearing in mind that the dictionaries should be comprehensive and include so-called "foreign" names as well as variant spellings.
What do you think? (Everyone who participates in the project is invited to post an opinion here, not just me and P.L.)
