I have been talking to my son about the game yugioh & was wondering if the game is named after the main character, is his full name Yugioh & abreviated to Yugi? If it is what is the significance of the "oh"?

Well, firstly...

"Yu-Gi-Oh" is the English dub spelling. The original spelling in Japanese is Yûgiô.

And, the character's name is actually Yûgi Muto (Yugi Moto in English).

But sorry, I don't know what Yugi means.
