I am trying to find the meaning of my daughter's name. Her name is Nyasa. I search and I get a meaning for Nyasia, but that is not her name. Does anyone know what Nyasa means? If so, where can I find this information. I got the name off the globe, it is a lake in Africa (Lake Nyasa).

According to wikipedia...

Nyasa is the Chichewa word for lake.

It is also the former name of Malawi during colonial (or occupation) times.
