I have to agree with on of the other posts. Carissa Marie does sound nice. However, my middle name is also Marie. Just about every female seems to have the middle name Marie. It's way too overused. But if you like it, go for it. The child certainly isn't going to suffer from a common name. You might get a little bit of complaining, like my mother did, for chosing something the child deems as boring. Of coarse, you'd probably get complaints if you picked something very unique too. I guess I have to say that I would never chose Marie as a middle name but in general, you should follow your own instincts. That's the only way you'll find something both you and your child can live with.
