Getting one hour's extra sleep (which we'll lose again in April) is no fair trade for enduring the next five months driving home in the dark.
For one glorious year (73-74) the country stayed on DST for an entire 12 months, courtesy of Gerry Ford. Thanks to the Energy Crisis, us office drones got to see a little daylight on our own time through the winter.
