Meaning of Solène?

Hi, I've looked all over the place for the meaning of the name Solène. It was listed here at Behind the Name as the 53rd Most Popular Name in France in 2001, but I haven't seen it listed here and can't find the meaning anywhere else. It's French (I'm assuming), and feminine. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, for anyone who understands French pronunciation, would Solène be pronounced something like so-LEN?

Could it be a variant of SOLENNE (> SOLANGE)?

Solène (always written like this) is indeed close to Solange. It comes from "solemne", the Old French for "sollemnis" (see Solange). It is prononced soh-len (no accent anywhere).
