Mine's Cargill (ker-GILL), which is our old paternal-line Scottish family name before it was changed for strange reasons 100 years ago.
It means "white rocky place" in Gaelic, and derives from a near-defunct village near Perth.
I never use a middle name except when we visit the Auld Country, where the area east of Dundee is still crawlin' with Cargills and bein one from America is sometimes good for a free drinkie at the pub...
