Please help me find out what these name mean and where they come from????

Hi It would be a blessing to know where these names that i have been called all my life came from, i've done a little research my self and come to find out that (TAMIA) Is in the name Mesopotamia which is a river i believe so it might be connected to that. And i have also found out that Burke is Irish. I am african american about 5'7 Fair Skin. And my father's father is Jamaican. i believe it would open a lot of doors and make me whole. Because who you called makes you who u are..

Mesopotamia is not a river, but a region. The name means between rivers and I believe potam is the "river" part, not tamia

The Greek word for "river" is "potamos", and of course someone may have had the idea of cutting off the "mesopo" part. But I'd rather try some TAM- names; this site has TAMIA as a short or of TAMAR(A), which sounds quite convincing to me.
