I suppose as a Hebrew name, SHULA is a short form of SHULAMIT. This is a biblical name and can be translated as "peaceful". But the original meaning is something different: Hebrew “shallem” means “pay for, replace, complete” and names like Salomon or Salome were originally given to a child, whose elder brother or sister had died (which happened quite often).

Can you give us a source of those meanings? Becaue otherwise, we don't know if it's a legit name, or that someone just thought it would make a 'cute' meaning, know what i mean?
