I really like Charlotte. It was my favorite girl's name for a long time.
I guess I like it because it sounds nice and sweet. I also love it with the nn Lottie, which sounds strong and independent. I associate those things with Lottie because I learned about the missionary Lottie Moon in a church group I was in when I was little.
I've never known anyone named Charlotte. I don't think it's too popular here right now, but the popularity rankings show it's more popular than ever, and I think it will continue rising.
I guess I stopped liking it as much because its sweetness started to sound weak and kind of bland. I still like it, but it's lost some of its charm. I still love Lottie, but I don't know if I'd want to use a nickname as a full first name.
