What do you think of this name for a boy? Do you have any middle name suggestions?

What about Felix? Simular sound....

I admit I do kind of like it. Probably not something I'd ever use but it is a "cool" name. I think a more traditional mn would help balance it out.Something like,Phoenix Charles
Phoenix Michael
Phoenix Daniel
Phoenix Robert
Phoenix Edward
Phoenix Joseph
Phoenix Elijah

Ooh...I was once considering that as a mn for Loki. I really like it. I think it's more of a boy's name than a girl's.

Phoenix is quite cool, has a good sound, and a nice mythological story, I like it.
mmm... Phoenix Paul, Phoenix Marius, Phoenix Casper, Phoenix Jack/Jack Phoenix, Phoenix Lewis, Phoenix Luke... Difficult name, isn't it?
Actually, I think I'd like it better as a mn: if I say it many times it becomes a hard name to me, cool, but hard. Eva

I think I like it better as a mn, too. I did meet a WOMAN recently, in her 30's probably, with this fn. I thought that was...different.

I think you're right about it being a better middle name than a first name. Good idea... thanks.

It's nms. It has a nice meaning and all but there's just something about it. It reminds me of River Phoenix which is odd since he's dead while Joaquin Phoenix is still out and about acting.

It's too out-there for me, but it's alright for someone else's child.Melanie B, aka Scary Spice, named her daughter Phoenix Chi. But I prefer the name for a boy, as it sounds quite masculine to me.Miranda

as one who lives in Phoenix...... this just seems like a weird name for a person. Why are you considering it?

I'm not pregnant so I'm not really considering it. I just wanted to know what everyone thaught of it because I like the sound of it and I also like the story of the mythological bird. It might end up on my list but I doubt it will be the name of my first born child.

got it...It does have a cool sound and meaning. And... Phoenix is lovely. But it is also VERY hot, dry, brown, dusty... a lot of bad sections... you know?

I don't really like Phoenix for a boy, sorry, if I used it it would be on a girl.

A girl?I wouldnt use Phoenix period, but if it was a must, I would use it on a boy long before I ever used it on a girl. I cant picture a girl with this name, but a boy I could, I wouldnt want to, but its easier to see than a girl with the name.
