Hmm, I'm noncommittal. Lochlann looks less Anglicized to me (more foreign-language), although I suppose that's just because of my greater familiarity with Lachlan. Weirdly, I think of the 'loch' part as Scottish and the -lan with one N as Irish.. but that's backwards.
Lochlann is more butch and traditional looking to me than Lachlan. I think I like it better for that reason. But Lachlan looks more intuitive for an English speaker, and less noticeably foreign-language (that is, where I live, far from the UK), so I like it better for that reason.
