I do like the other variations (Valeria, Valarie) too.

It's nice in general, but I have a bad association with it, which prevents me from feeling fonder.

Valerie: to me a happy, smart, friendly, interesting name. It's on my long list.

I don't like Valeria. The -ie ending makes Valerie much brighter and less glammy / clammy.

I don't really care for the nickname Val; it strikes me as a little too forceful. If I was a Valerie, I'd not let people call me Val. Perhaps Vallie... since the 80s are gone and Valley Girls are mostly mercifully forgotten.

Very pretty, I think of an attractive, intelligent girl.

Not really my thing, a bit common and old fashioned... Valeria is nice though. Oh, and I the male version Valery very elegant.

I'm not wild about girls' names ending in the -ee, -ey, -ie, etc. sound, so Valerie simply isn't my style. I love Valeria, though.

Of course im obviously bias but Valerie is a great name! I like my spelling better Though ar instead of er . I agree though to me it envokes confidence, beauty and intelligence.

I have a friend Valerie (nn Val). Of course I think of her when I hear this name....
