Jadon
There is a couple at my church who are missionaries to Italy and are expecting their first child. I don't know if the baby will be a boy or if this is just their choice should it be a boy, but they like Jadon. As far as tryndee names go, this is the only one I don't mind b/c it's actually a Biblical name, but only that spelling. Which brings me to my punchline, if you will. I was about to say, "Oh! It's nice to hear you're using the real form of the name, not some creative spelling," when the woman goes, "Well, we like a different spelling better but with living in Italy it would be too hard for the Italians, and J-A-D-O-N is at least Biblical." *sigh*

Even though it is proper, it has been too distorted by the Jayden/Jaden set for me to ever warm up to it. Plus, its one of those names that reminds me a something you'd see in a science fiction novel with the hard a in the beginning and the -on ending. Look, its Jadon from the planet Mars!

Yes! Regardless of her reasoning (I say O_o to that, btw), at least the child will have a good, properly spelled Biblical name. :-DI also like Jaden, as a masculine form of Jade. (I like Jade for boys too, btw.) But any other "spelling"--Jayden, Jaedin, Jaidyn, etc.--are just intolerable to me. Ugh.Miranda

I like it

I absolutely love Jadon. In the US, it's been ruined by the trendy Jayden / Jaden / Jadyn. Fortunately where I live, Jayden / Jaden / Jadyn doesn't exist, so Jadon comes with no such baggage :-)

"Oh! It's nice to hear you're using the real form of the name, not some creative spelling." I agree, I prefer the original spelling of names, although I have to say in this case, I somewhat prefer Jaden.I don't understand why another form of Jadon would be too hard for Italians? If she's worried about that, she should use a name like Leonardo.

I think the spelling she had meant was Jayden, and I think the y would be confusing for Italian-speakers. I don't care for the name at all, but if I had to go with a tryndee name, this would be it.
