Tommy
I was just thinking about this name, for a boy of course! I think it's quite cute, but I doubt I'd ever actually use it. Tommy Hilfiger does come to mind when I hear this name though, which is ok I guess. Anyway, what does everyone else think of the name Tommy?

As a nickname Tommy is fine but I much prefer the full name of Thomas

RUGRATS! That and mum's cousins Tommy, who I only know by name. It does seem to be a more childish name, something I personally would give as a given name but as a nn only for Thomas.

Tommy's very, very childish as a full fn imo; I think it only suits a child of about six years and younger. Give him the full name Thomas, and then call him Tommy. That way, he can decide when he's older whether he wants to go by Thomas, Tommy, or Tom.Miranda

me too. The only acceptable use of Tommy, Jimmy, Bobby on an adult man imo is...when used solely by his mom or grandmother!
