Well, I prefer Sabella, simply because I would never spell Isabella Isarbella.I prefer Isabella in full, or the very similar Sybilla / Sibylla. Sabella, while pretty and not childish-sounding like a lot of other nn names, is still a little too unsubstantial for me, due to its diminutive origin.Miranda

The way I pronounce Sarbella (SAH-bella, I'm rapidly developing an English accent) I like, and I prefer it to Sabella. However, since you're in Scotland, I prefer Sabella to SARRRR-bella.

Actually pronounced...the R is very light, not harsh.It sounds practically the same.More like SAH-bella as where Sabella sounds more like Seh-bella.Slight difference.-Seda*
