Its not the worst name in the world, just too common & tied with a certain era (babies of the 1980s ... my generation)& so I'm very harsh in my opinion of it & Ashley, Nicole, Heather, Jennifer, etc. Everytime I hear people say its getting less common I cringe because everyday at work or school I hear of a new one (Jessica Ann Scott & Ashley Marie Scott are twins I know!!)... I forgive those who used it before they realized how common it was going to get, but those who use it now ... anywhooo, use it if you must just don't try & ignore its current popularity.

I don't doubt it's still being used. I think it's in California that it's still in the top 5. But overall it is going down in popularity a little each year.
