Nickname Cate/Kate
I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions for names that could be shortened to the nn Cate or Kate...and do you think Cate is an ok spelling or do you prefer Kate? Because I love Catherine spelled that way only...but I would also like some other suggestions! Thanks...

I love Catherine nn Cate, spelled only with a C. I think that they are both great, classic names that will never go out of style. Catherine is elegant and regal, while Cate is intelligent and modern looking. They're both great names.

Catrina, Catarina Katja, Just Cate / Kate.I love the name. It is very nice on t's own. I like Catarina(pronounced Cat-a-reen-a) a lot. Both spellings are nice, but perosonally, I prefer Cate.

I think if the full name starts with C, it makes sense to use the Cate spelling. I think Catherine is a great full name for Cate.

I actually prefer it with a c. I know so many Katie's and Kate's, but only one Catie, and I LOVE her name so much more than the others. I am not sure why, I just do.

I love Catherine (with a C) and think Cate is perfect. Another option would be Caitlyn.
