Carys & Esmee?
WDYT of those two as a sib. set? Too theme-ish or does it matter since many would not recognise the similar meanings? How do you perceive an Esmee & a Carys?Edited to correct my dumb wording!

I wouldn't notice the similar theming at all. Both Carys and Esmee are beautiful, but I slightly prefer Greek Charis (pronounced the same, KA-riss) to Carys.

I think they fit together very, very well. They're both on the same level as far as femininity, being recognizable but not common, similar meanings, etc. :)

I don't think they're too themey - in fact they're the perfect themey names, only obviously themey if you bother to look up the meanings.I'm not sure they sit well together as sister names though - they don't *sound* wrong together, but Carys (which I love) is currently trendy whereas Esmee (which I'm neutral about) is decidedly old-fashioned, so they just sound like they come from different generations. That's just my pernickety perception though - if I switch that off they sound fine! :-)

I'm not a huge fan of Carys, but it's nice enough. I adore Esmee (with the accent, of course), and like Esme for a boy, too.I don't think they're too themey, and I do think that they sound nice together. I remember seeing something about sisters named Aimee and Esmee once, and this set sort of reminds me of that- it's less obvious, though. How do I perceive an Esmee and a Carys?Esmee- A very imaginative and ambitious little girl. She loves to read, draw, write stories, and play dress-up with her sister. She has curly hair- either golden blonde or dark brown, and is just a little bit on the chubby side. She is probably very feminine and loves dresses and other pretty clothes. She wants to be an actress when she grows up.Carys- The quieter of the two, although not really shy. Carys is somewhat reserved, and spends a lot of time thinking, by herself. She likes to write and draw, just like her sister, but probably isn't as inclined to share her works with other people. She has red/auburn hair, and either grey or brown eyes, and is quite thin. She isn't especially girly (though she certainly isn't a tomboy) and is very interested in science.Shannon
