Arachne makes me think of spiders--and would a little girl REALLY want to be associated with spiders?
Salem makes me think of the cigarettes, and also reminds me of the Turkish greeting. Salem is a plausible name, in a way...I like Salim much better, although I don't think it has the same meaning.
