What do you think of Nicol / Nichol Esme or Esme Nicol / Nichol for a boy? (Pronunciations are NIK-ul and EZ-may ... and I'd be using the accent, Esmé).
I've been looking into Scottish boys' names recently, which Nicol / Nichol is, and Esme was first used by Esme Stuart, a Scottish Duke in the 16th century (who had a French mother, hence his unusual name).
So ... What's your favourite form?
Esme Nichol
Esme Nicol
Nicol Esme
Nichol Esme
Just now, I'm leaning towards the Nichol spelling.
