Cressida, Mariska, and Theodocia
I'm really liking this name right now. I don't think I could ever use it since my name is Jessica, but what do you think of it? IS it too close to Jessica? Cressida Maris and Cressida Louise are two combos I'm liking. Any others you can think of?
Also, Mariska has been at the back of my mind for a while. I just worry that with names like "Mischa" being seen as bordering on trendy, so will this. Opinions? Combos? Also, is it too similar to Jessica?
I spotted Theodocia today, a girl of about eighteen years, and LOVE it. Need help on combos though.

I like all three of those names. I think you could use Cressida even though your name is Jessica. I don't think that's too close. I would do it if you love the name that much.
Here are some combo suggestions:
Cressida Jane
Cressida Bryn
Cressida Lark
Cressida Eve
Cressida Yvonne
Mariska Elise
Mariska Tess
Mariska Colette
Mariska Yvette
Mariska Ruth
Theodocia Grace
Theodocia Cosette
Theodocia Solange
Theodocia Jewel
Theodocia Bess

Cressida Maris is a nice combo, but you're right, it's a bit too close to Jessica.
With Mariska, I'm biased - for one it's a Hungarian name, and of course I should like that it's gainging popularity in the US. On the other hand, it is considered a hillbilly name in my country, especially in the form Riska, which is the No 1 cow name. Also, Mária (of which Mariska is the pet form*) is really frequent among eldery (55+) women.
Theodosia is really nice, I like it (and also Theodora). A great name IMHO!
* this sentence might not be grammaticaly correct, but I'm just too sleepy right now to think it over

I like Cressinda Maris. I'm on the fence on whether its too close to Jessica. On one hand they start with different sounds, and end with different sounds (-inda v. -ica), but they do both end in -a, and the "ss" in the middle is very similiar. On the other hand, nns would be totaly different (if you use one), and really, they are seperate names, so, keep it on the list! I like it!
Mariska and Theodosia are nice so, especially Theodosia. It had the ever cool nns of Dosie and Dosia! I like them both. I like all these names. Yay for the names!

Yeah, I immediately thought about a Toyota when I heard it. But if it helps I don't think they make that model anymore. But it is a unique name, I like it and I really like Mariska.
Hm, when I have heard Cressida pronounced as a name it was said "cress-EE-da," not "CRESS-ih-da" like the Toyota. Maybe I heard wrong. But it's not too much like Jessica, to me.
I like the name though, and Cressida Maris is neat. Louise doesn't quite measure up next to Cressida for me. I also like Mariska, and it's definitely not too much like Jessica; trendiness of that is pretty farfetched IMO. Theodocia is a little far out because of the length, to me; it's great but needs a nick.

It's a CAR? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I haven't heard that. I like the myth, the sound (prn KRES-i-da like on this site), the look... no evil car associations! *pouts* I still really like it though.
Yah I like Cressida Maris a LOT better than Cressida Louise but I still like it w/ Louise. No ideas for combos for Mariska? I think it's a pretty alternative to Marie or Maria. I love long names, with or w/o nn's. :)
