This is my given first name (spelled differently though), and as a young girl I use my middle name. I catch a lot of flack for it from my classmates on the first day of school when teachers call out "Dorthy," but I get loads of compliments from older and middle aged people on it. I think I can really like it when I get older, but it's best you give her a middle name she may want to go by instead.
