Florence is lovely, and I think both it and Flora deserve more young beareres! Flo doesn't do it for me, because you say "flow" and I think "menstrual," but I think Flossie, Fenna / Fennie, Flora, and Flor are all nice pet names.
Florence Julia is pretty, as is Florence Maria (it sounds wonderfully old-fashioned to me), but Florence Elaine is difficult for me to say.

I really like Flora and Flor as nicknames...flo was just the first thing I thought of (and I was trying to get the post out before I had to start working again).
