How would you pronounce Rai?
Would you pronounce Rai the same as Ray/Rae, or in a different way?

Thanks everybody
The name was born from a mis-spelling of my nickname (Ria) by my friend's younger brother, and I thought it was kind of interesting. I'm not keen on the Rye pronounciation, though, so maybe I'll avoid it as a future nickname. ;-)

My first guess would be "Rye".
Ray
Ray as in ray of sunshine.

My first inclination was to pronounce it like Rye.
Hmmmm
Logically, I want to prn it like R-eye, but that sounds wrong to my ears. I'd rather prn it Ray, but that doesn't make sense with the spelling. I think I would avoid it altogether! :P

I would pronounce it like rye bread.

rye
Rai immediately strikes me as pronounced "rye," like the bread or the music genre.

That's what I first thought. And to me, Rae and Ray are pronounced the same way. (Ugh, no rhyme intended)
