Rowan
I had a dream last night where I had a baby girl named Rowan Clover. This totally goes against my usual naming style, but I am really liking Rowan for a girl all of a sudden! So:
1) What do you think of Rowan on a girl? Is it acceptable seeing as it is a nature name?
2) What do you think of Rowan Clover and Rowan Scarlett?
3) Any other suggestions?Thank you in advance :)

1) What do you think of Rowan on a girl? Is it acceptable seeing as it is a nature name? - Rowan on a girl bothers me less than most other masculine names on girls, probably mainly because it is a nature name. But I much prefer it on a boy.
2) What do you think of Rowan Clover and Rowan Scarlett? - Rowan Clover is one too nature-y for one combo, IMO. Rowan Scarlett is a little better, but Scarlett is a little too close to being a color (scarlet) and therefore another word name. I do prefer a feminine name as the mn if using a masculine fn like Rowan, though (Clover doesn't strike me as terribly feminine...or as a name at all, actually, even though it's cute :b).
3) Maybe over-the-top frilly for a mn with Rowan, like Rowan Cordelia or Rowan Felicity (I think I'm channeling WB characters today :-/).

It's alright for a girl, but I much prefer it for a boy. It's also more common on boys and the less boys names taken by girls the better IMO.Rowan Clover is cute. I don't like Rowan Scarlett.

1) What do you think of Rowan on a girl? Is it acceptable seeing as it is a nature name? Yes.
2) What do you think of Rowan Clover and Rowan Scarlett? Hmm, neither one of them is quite my cup of tea. While I enjoy both Rowan & Scarlett, it seems to red.
3) Any other suggestions? I try to balance my combinations, modern with classic, feminine with more unisex so I word pair Rowan with a softer more flowy name. Rowan Isabelle, maybe?

I love Rowan on a girl. My favorite combo is Rowan Elissa. However, I really adore Rowan Scarlett. Rowan Clover is a little too obviously nature-y for me. But I think Clover is cute as a middle name with something else. ex - Anna Clover, Marie Clover, Jillian Clover, etc.

I don't like the name. It seems so ambiguous as to gender that I can't see it on either one. Too effeminate for a boy, too surnameish for a girl.Rowan Clover sounds like Roll in Clover to me, so definitely don't like the combo. Rowan Scarlett is better, but again, Rowan is just not a name I would ever want to use or see used. Rowan berries are scarlet, so to me the combo is way too phrasey.
