It looks very, very silly in my opinion. I don't like cutesy mispellings, not to mention the name Ireland is, to me, pretentious even without the silly spelling.

Very illiterate looking.I don't like Ireland as a name either way though. Cheesy.

I read the responses and i also thought it was a trendy spelling of Ireland. I wouldn't personally use Ireland, but I think the name is okay, so I like Irelyn. But then I saw that it isn't pn like that...but I really like Aralyn! One of my favorites is Arabella and it reminded me of that. Also, on Real World Las Vegas (two or three seasons ago now) there was a girl named Irulan (air-uh-lon) and it reminded me of that also. i think I like the Aralyn spelling better to avoid confusion with Ireland.
As for your mns, my favorites with the name are Renae or Rae (although where I am from both of those are really common mns)!!

Personally, I think it looks like an attempt to make a place name look less like a place name. And while I'm not fond of place names, I'd rather see someone named Ireland than Irelyn. That being said, of your combos, I really like the flow of Irelyn Marie and Irelyn Rae.

Ireland - a countryIt really sounds similar and when I first saw it thought it as a trendy spelling of it. I dont like Ireland, so I am not liking Irelyn. If you think I am pn it incorrectly, please let me know (as that MIGHT change my opinion).

well, I didn't pn it eye-er-lyn, I pn it ear-a-lyn or air-a-lyn

Then may I suggest...that you change the spelling? Eralyn is more likely to be prn as ear-a-lyn and Arilyn or Aralyn is more likely to be prn as air-a-lyn. The Irelyn spelling really leads the reader to believe the prn to be like Ireland.

Well..Personally, I find the sound quite unappealing. And just by the look of it, it looks like a trendy Ireland.
