Magdalene
What do you think of Magdalene? I am pronouncing it Mag-duh-len. Is this correct? Thanks!

Magdalene is cool. Very underused in this country. I pronounce it the way you do, and would probably spell the name Magdalen in order to prevent confusion. Maggie would be a cute nn.

That's fine, or it can be Mag-duh-LEEN.It's pretty but a little to heavy for me. It used to be a favorite, but there are too many things about it that go against my fundamental naming instincts -- it's seriously Biblical, and it will likely be given a NN I dislike (Maggie). I could like it for someone else.

I like it. To me, Magdalene is MAG-dah-leen and Magdalen is MAG-dah-len.I prefer Magdalena, though, and find all variants a little heavy.

I think it is a beautiful name :)

I really like it. I pronounce it like you do but spell it without the E at the end.

Magdalene is very pretty. I think I like Magdalena a bit more, as it's a family name for me.Magnolia is a cute nn and I like it better than Maggie.Luxiana
