I thought the character was Rordan, too, when I first saw the movie. But Poppylena's right, it's Rawdon. Rordan nn Rory (better than Rordy, imo) would be great, I think, though. :)

And also the film. So not the same name as Rórdán. Rawdon (as a surname) would probably have come from the place near Leeds, though I'm not sure where William Makepeace Thackeray got it from.

However Rórdán is a nice name, and the nn Rórdy is cute. And it means you can use it without being reminded of the character, if you didn't like him :)

I love Rordan! Great name in my opinion. Plus, always the option of using Rory as a nickname : )

There's a family in my town with the last name Riordan, so it's kind of hard for me to picture it as a first name. It's very handsome, though something I wouldn't be able to bring myself to use.

Personally I prefer the anglicized Riordan, and my fave combo is Riordan Patrick. Plain to some, but hot to me! :-)
