LEER-ah
in reply to a message by sara
I think it's very pretty. There are several names on my favorites list with the same "lyre" root:Allyriane (ah-leer-ee-ANN)
Lyriane (leer-ee-ANN)
Lyrien (LEER-ee-en)
Lyric (LEER-ik)For the first three of these names, I like the nn Lyri (LEER-ee; yes, sadly, just like "leery" but I can't help that :p), but I don't think Lyric or Lyra need nn's, they're only two syllables already. While I like Lyra it is my least favorite of these names. I do appreciate the other prn, which uses long I as in DYE (dye your hair), but for myself I prefer this one.
