Joshua and Jocelyn
What do you think of them, and are they too close for brother and sister? Any other J girls names you like?

Yes, they're too similar sounding imo. But not necessarily similar enough in style, actually.

I do not like Jocelyn but I like Joshua. J names that I like include Jade, and Jailan.

I went to school with a family that had a Jocelyn and a Joshua (as well as a Jeni, a Jamie, and a Jason). It can be done! I don't really like the names, though.

I love the name Jenifer, because there is a lot of variations you can play with, i.e Jen and Jenny

Love love love Joshua! (that's the name of my boyfriend)the sibset is a bit monotone, but it could work if that's what you like....My cousin calls my friend Jocelyn "Joshlyn" and it drives me insane! when I first heard her say it, I thought that was really her name, but it is Jocelyn, and MJ just says it wrong...ARGH!

Joshua and Jocelyn are very close in sound, too close for brother and sister for my tastes. I love both of them very much and even though they don't have the same meaning or come from the same origin but they sound very much alike. Both names can also have the nn Josh (or Joce / Joss) so they are rather alike. Some of my favorite J names for girls are:
Julia
Juliet
Juliana
Julie
Jada
Jane / Jayne
Jayna / Jaina
Jenna
Jenny
Joanna
Jeanne / Jeanna
Jinny
June
Jillian
Jemma
Jessamine
Josephine
Jolie
Jessa
Joy
Joyce
JoyannaHope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions; I think Juliet, Jillian and Josephine might work.

Yes, they're way too closeThe first syllables almost rhyme. If I were you, I'd try to avoid the "s" or "sh" sound in the girls' name and possibly go for a harder sound like T or K. I'd also avoid names that end in A.Suggestions:
Joshua and Jacqueline
Joshua and Julie (not Julia)
Joshua and Janet
Joshua and Justine (Has an S in it, but the T is more prominent so I think it works)
Joshua and Judith
