Emma

Emma is my least favourite name.
Sorry, but I really can't stand Emma. Not only is it overused, but the sound of it is so bland and forgettable.
I used to like Emma, but nowadays I quite dislike it. It's began to annoy me because it's so popular and so uninteresting. NMS.
I would consider using Emma as a middle name, maybe, if I was married to a man with conservative tastes in names. It was the name of two women in my family, one on each side. :D I didn't know either one myself, but the Emma I know something about sounded like a wonderful lady. And so it'd make a decent compromise name in my situation--since it's a family name, I'd be willing to consider it despite its commonness.
That said, I'm sick of Emma as a first name, and nothing's going to change that. The first and last combos flow nicely, but that doesn't do anything to make the first name any less annoyingly trendy.

I love Emma, it's in my top 10
Extremely popular.. I think you'd do much better in choosing any of the lovely middle names you have there.
I used to like it. Cooled off when it hit around top 50. Now I'm pretty darn sick of it and glad I didn't have a daughter 10 years ago. That would've been her name - Emmanuelle Jane nn Emma actually.
Sorry, but I absolutely cannot stand the name Emma. I don't even know where to start telling you all the things I don't like about it. The mumbly sound, the old-lady connotations, the current overpopularity, the one Emma about my own age that I knew who was big and fat and slow and had a huge mole on the side of her face...

I agree with all of it (well, except for the personal connection), and so much more. I really loathe Emma!
